Scene Study for Actors - January 30th-February 1st - Yukon Arts Centre Studio: Gwaandak Theatre presents Scene Study for Actors, a weekend workshop with acclaimed director Yvette Nolan, in association with the Yukon Arts Centre and the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre. This 2 ½ day workshop offers the opportunity for actors of all levels to explore, discuss, rehearse and perform monologues and scenes in a supportive environment, including the chance to practice an audition.

Equity Hackathon - March 8th - Artist’s Studio, Kwänlin Dun Cultural Centre: Gwaandak Theatre and The MT Space in association with the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre will host a Equity Hackathon on March 8th for the International Women's Day. Equity in Theatre (EIT) is the lead on a countrywide “Equity Hackathon” for International Women’s day. EIT is an inclusive Canadian initiative aiming to improve gender parity in the theatre industry. Our objective is to increase the virtual presence and visibility of Canadian women theatre practitioners online.
Movement for Actors - March 10th - Yukon Arts Centre Studio: Gwaandak Theatre presents a "Movement for Actors" Workshop with Santee Smith, in association with the Yukon Arts Centre and Kwänlin Dun Cultural Centre. Everybody Dance! Kaha:wi Dance Theatre (KDT) is thrilled to offer this movement workshop for actors, dancers, performers and anyone interested in physical expression, dance and performance. The workshop focuses on body and spatial awareness through contemporary dance, world Indigenous dance forms and alternative physical training.

Starting With Us - October 2nd-3rd - The Old Fire Hall: Gwaandak Theatre presents Starting with Us, a 2-day creation workshop with internationally acclaimed theatre artists James Long and Maiko Yamamoto of Vancouver’s Theatre Replacement. This workshop offers a playful hands-on introduction to Theatre Replacement’s unique creation techniques. Games and structured systems of creation will make use of personal histories as well as speculations, lies and exaggerations to create physical and text-based theatrical moments.

Touring For Theatre - October 3rd - The Old Fire Hall: Gwaandak Theatre presents an evening Touring Workshop with internationally acclaimed theatre artists James Long and Maiko Yamamoto of Vancouver’s Theatre Replacement. Share your work on the world’s stages…This workshop offers practical tips on successful regional, national and international touring, with case studies from Theatre Replacement and a chance for participants to discuss their own work.

Dance Movement - October 8th - Yukon Arts Centre Studio: Gwaandak Theatre and the Yukon Arts Centre present Dance Movement, an evening dance workshop with Yukon artist Andrameda Hunter, as part of our Ensemble Theatre Training Series.
This class includes techniques from yoga, ballet, modern and belly dance which will help develop body alignment, balance, strength, and spatial awareness.
Creative Vocal - October 28th - Yukon Arts Centre Studio: Unleash your voice and discover the ancient power of the chorus! An evening vocal workshop with Yukon artist Scott Maynard, as part of our Ensemble Theatre Training Series. After a comprehensive and relaxing warmup, we will exercise and explore our voices using a variety of material, from simple rounds and canons, to 20th century German spoken chorus music. In the second half of the workshop we will develop, as a group, a collective reading of a beat poem from 60's America.
