Radio Works

2002

In partnership with Longest Night Society, Gwaandak Theatre commissioned and produced a series of contemporary radio works. Yukon writers Sharon Shorty, Chris McNutt, Beth Mulloy, Roy Ness and others participated, with director Kathleen Flaherty of CBC Radio Drama in Vancouver.

Bessie Cooley translated Shorty’s piece Badboy and Brother Mouse, a traditional Tlingit story, into the Tlingit language as well.

Thank you to our Funders: Canada Council for the Arts, Yukon Arts Fund, Aboriginal Language Services, Teslin Tlingit Council, Yukon Cultural Industries Training Trust Fund.
