– Managing Artistic Director –
Patti Flather founded Gwaandak Theatre in 1999 with Leonard Linklater. She has helped develop and co-produce all of Gwaandak’s productions. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. She is an award-winning produced and published playwright. Her produced plays include Sixty Below (with Leonard Linklater), West Edmonton Mall, Where the River Meets the Sea, The Soul Menders, collective creations with Ynklude including Tell Me More…, and, in development, Paradise and The Matter of Light. A member of Playwrights Guild of Canada and Literary Managers & Dramaturgs of the Americas, Patti also is a dramaturge and educator, fiction and screenwriter. Originally from North Vancouver, B.C., from 3rd-generation Anglo-Canadian settler roots, she has lived and created in the Yukon since 1988.

Marjolène is a Whitehorse based Arts Administrator. She has been involved with theatre in many ways in Montreal, Vancouver and Whitehorse, from box office to marketing, from building sets to stage management. She has a degree in Communications, a certificate in Events Management and a Master in Management of Cultural Organisations. Marjolène is proud to be part of Gwaandak’s team and helping to empower Aboriginal, Northern and diverse voices.
